About oral thrush treatment
Oral capsules are an antifungal treatment used to treat thrush. Thrush is a fungal infection that can affect the genitals and skin of both men and women. Thrush causes symptoms include:
- Itchiness in the affected area
- Irritation
- White discharge
Oral thrush treatment targets the fungi that causes thrush
(candida) to stop it producing ergosterol, an essential
component of fungal cell membranes. Disrupting ergosterol
production breaks down the fungal cell membrane, preventing
candida from spreading. One capsule is enough to clear a thrush
infection.
Oral thrush treatment usually relieves symptoms of thrush
within two days. Speak to your GP if you still have symptoms
after a week.
